Outstanding Coaching Development Opportunity for our region's Coaches

The best teachers and coaches are always looking to add to their knowledge and develop their skills.

With this in mind, the Swimming Canterbury West Coast Board in association with Wayne Goldsmith, is providing an outstanding opportunity for our region’s coaches to further their professional development, by offering prepaid access to WGCoaching’s “Soft Skills” course for two registered coaches from each of our Region’s affiliated Clubs.

International sports coaching expert, Wayne Goldsmith has influenced the coaching, thinking and teaching of some of the world’s leading athletes, coaches and teams.

His client list includes: United States Olympic Committee, Sydney Roosters NRL, Tennis Australia, Australian Rugby Union/Wallabies, Singapore Sports Council, Swimming South Africa, United Kingdom Sports Institute, Sport New Zealand and more.

With over 25 years of experience working with some of the best coaches, athletes, teams and sporting organisations in the world, Wayne gives everyone he works with the tools – and the inspiration they need to be all they can be.

Wayne’s Soft Skills: High impact – Online Course focuses on how to coach swimming and help your athletes realize their promise and potential. How to inspire your athletes to do the Content of their work with the Intent with which it was written, and as a result have a far more effective coaching environment.

This course is aimed specifically to help coaches become better at coaching, connecting with kids, inspiring swimmers and helping swimmers to develop more holistically - become more emotionally intelligent and develop qualities to underpin their success in sport and life more generally.

Wayne is really looking forward to working with our committed, dedicated and hard working coaches:

"Always loved the Canterbury region. Have been coming there regularly for over 20 years and to have the opportunity to work with the brilliant coaches and amazing swimmers of one of New Zealand's true sporting heartlands is a great honor" WG

SCWC is proud to announce that 27 of our region’s coaches will be taking advantage of this outstanding opportunity and we hope that all who participate enjoy and benefit greatly from the experience.

The introductory webinar  GETTING BACK IN THE WATER - PHYSICAL, MENTAL, TECHNICAL AND EMOTIONAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR SWIMMERS” will be hosted by Wayne next week.
